Deleting your account and data.

Option 1 — Delete it in the app

This is the fastest route, and it takes effect immediately:

1. 1. Open Nougah and go to your profile.
2. 2. Tap Settings.
3. 3. Tap Delete Account.
4. 4. Read the summary, then confirm. Your account is closed right away and erasure begins immediately.

Option 2 — Ask us to delete it

If you have already uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, email us at hello@nougah.com from a device you have, with the subject line "Delete my account", and include the phone number you signed up with. We verify that the request really comes from the account owner before we erase anything — so we may send a one-time code to that number. We complete verified requests within 30 days, and usually much sooner.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account is permanent. Once it completes, the following are erased and cannot be recovered:

• • Your profile, your photos, and every preference you set.
• • Your matches, likes, and passes — your matches are released.
• • Your messages, chat history, and any media you sent.
• • Your biometric data — the reference image from your liveness verification is deleted immediately.
• • Your location history, push notification tokens, and device records.
• • Your verified phone number, and your coin balance and any remaining purchases — these do not carry over.

What we keep, and for how long

A few limited records outlive the account because the law or the safety of other members requires it. None of them are used to build a profile of you:

• • Purchase and tax records. Records of subscriptions and coin purchases are retained for accounting and audit obligations, with the link to your account severed.
• • Safety records. If an account was banned for breaking our rules, we keep a minimal record so the ban cannot be evaded by deleting and re-registering.
• • Your phone number, briefly and in scrambled form. We store a one-way hash of it so the same number cannot start a new account for 90 days. The hash cannot be read back as a phone number, and it expires on its own.
• • Anonymous usage counts. Aggregate activity statistics that contain no personal information and cannot be traced back to you.

Before you go

There is no way to undo a deletion, and an account cannot be restored once erasure has begun. If you would simply like a break, you can hide your profile in the app instead and keep your matches and messages. And if you ever change your mind, you are always welcome to start a new account — just note the 90-day wait before the same phone number can be used again.
